
Dr. Gardner is the Founder and Managing Partner of HCMS Group LLC and Chairman of the Health as Human Capital Foundation. Dr. Gardner’s 40 year career includes medical practice and healthcare organization administration, health professions education and health economics research. He has founded and built significant value in several businesses and health organizations, and is an advisor to public and private sector organizations on health economics and healthcare reform. Dr. Gardner is a Wyoming native and received his post graduate education at the University of Rochester.

Mick Simon, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of HCMS Group LLC, joined the company in 2010. He is responsible for operations and finance functions for HCMS’ information services. Mick has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare IT, finance, and general management roles. Most recently he was Senior Vice President, operations for NextGen Practice Solutions, a business unit of Quality Systems, Inc.
Previously Mick was President of Winsome Capital Group, an investment partnership, and was co-founder and Senior Vice President of Options & Choices, Inc., heading up operations, technology and finance functions. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Brown University.

Ms. Petrini is a Partner and Senior Vice President of HCMS Group LLC, and is responsible for HCMS' clinical prevention service KnovaSolutions.
Ms. Petrini has over twenty years of experience in Human Capital Management research and service delivery, including program and policy development, implementation and evaluation, decision support, and large-employer account management.
She received a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a focus in Nursing Administration. Ms. Petrini has held faculty positions at the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and currently is an adjunct professor for the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY.

Jon Somerset is Vice President of Information Production Operations for HCMS. Prior to joining the HCMS Group, he was with OCI in Cheyenne, WY for over 10 years in a variety of leadership roles. A certified Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, he oversees all data management and information production cycles, data warehouse project implementation, and application development. Jon holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from Purdue University.

Nathan Kleinman, PhD is Co-Director of Data Analytics Services and is responsible for Research Services for the HCMS Group. He has worked with Dr. Gardner since 1998, performing and guiding all aspects of employee and health related research: from database design and maintenance to statistical analysis to presentation and publishing research results. His work on the effects of illness on cost, work absence, and productivity has been published in nearly twenty peer-reviewed articles and described in over fifty research presentations. His research interests also include analysis of healthcare and disability plan designs, development of risk identification algorithms, and quantification of the economic incentives among and relationships between health care co-pays, therapy compliance, and health outcomes. Dr. Kleinman received a Ph.D. in mathematical sciences from the Johns Hopkins University, specializing in probability and statistics theory and optimization algorithms.

Justin Schaneman is Co-Director of the HCMS Data Analytics Services, focusing specifically on production cycles for data analysis & research services, and business practices decision support. Justin has more than a decade of experience applying risk segmentation, econometric analysis, and predictive modeling techniques to health and human capital problems. Justin earned an MS in Mathematics/Statistics from the University of Wyoming.

Andrew Krois is HCMS' Director of Information Technology. He has over 10 years experience in technical design and enterprise technology support. In his role, Andrew oversees IT infrastructure and support services as well as the production processing and quality of maintenance data management functions and production applications. His responsibilities also include ensuring the security of HCMS Group clients’ data and assisting in coordinating privacy activities. Andrew has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and an MBA in Technology Management.

Marty Simon is the HCMS Learning Center Director with more than 20 years of training and instructional design experience. Prior to joining HCMS, he was training director for Ceridian, a benefits outsourcing company. As an eLearning expert, he provides a vast array of marketing and application tutorial videos along with developing user training programs for both HCMS staff and clients. Marty holds a Masters of Adult Education and Training & Development from the University of South Florida.

Neil Sullivan, MPH is a Senior Account Manager and O|BI Service Manager for HCMS Group. In these roles, Neil guides the application of O|BI reporting services to the HCMS client base, as well as provides strategic direction to selected large group clients through the interpretation of human capital analyses and research. Neil’s education includes a B.S in Community Health Education and a Masters in Public Health.
Kimberly Mulcahy is responsible for HCMS’s AlignD Snapshot Service. She’s been involved in business development for HCMS and OCI as well as other private sector companies and government entities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business with an emphasis on Marketing from California State University at Long Beach and a Master’s in Public Administration from San Jose State University.
A Senior Account Manager responsible for large employer clients, Ms. Stone brings experience in health plan design, strategic workforce policy, labor relations, and executive communications. Before joining HCMS, she was a Social Policy Analyst for former Wyoming Governor, Dave Freudenthal. She is an Up With People alumna, the 2012 Chairwoman for Social Venture Partners, Denver, and holds a BS in Economics and Environmental Policy from the University of Wyoming.
Lara Chamberlain is an Account Manager for HCMS clients in the eastern region. Lara received her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance/Strategy from the Simon School at the University of Rochester, NY and her Political Science undergraduate degree from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Lara has a background in federal public policy and was most recently an Assistant Vice President in the Healthcare Banking Group at M&T Bank.
