Value Proposition
Simply stated, the HCMS Value Proposition is the conversion of human capital performance data, generally housed in many different transaction systems (silos), to actionable management information needed to improve the performance of employer and government investments in health as human capital. This value proposition with emphasis on finding information driven market solutions for the current health benefits cost and quality problem also underscores the importance of prevention. The Health as Human Capital approach utilizes a new management paradigm with a shift from medical cost management to an investment in a health as human capital strategic paradigm.
The HCMS Database Service Model, as shown below, starts with collection of “HR/People Data” followed by collection of:
- Payroll Data
- Attendance, Absence and Disability Data
- Workers Compensation Data
- Health Plan Data, including Drug
- Safety Data, when available
- Individual Health & Productivity Data, when available
Following the build of a client custom integrated database (usually completed in 10-12 weeks), HCMS analysis and research staff produce information needed to support policy and process management decisions in the areas show below.
Management decisions supported by HCMS are a very dynamic and require significant follow-up information production, analysis, and decision support. Included is rigid evaluation of program outcomes.
