KnovaSolutions® staff members are advanced-degree clinical nurses and pharmacists. Our nurse clinicians understand care giving, the healthcare system, and the importance of listening and communicating. Our pharmacists are a crucial part of the team with their exceptional knowledge of medications and prescription drug interactions.

Clinical Leadership Team

Rene Sims, MSN, RN, MBA -- Vice President, Clinical Services Account Relations

Ms. Sims is the Vice President of Clinical Account Relations and a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Valparaiso University and her Master of Business Administration degree from Western Governors University. Her nursing experience includes direct patient care in women's service. Ms. Sims taught obstetric nursing at Indiana University Northwest and has worked as a legal nurse consultant. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Nurses in Advanced Practice (SNAP).

Suzanne Supola, MSN, RN -- Vice President, Clinical Service Operations

Ms. Supola is the Vice President of Clinical Service Operations and a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing with a focus in adult health and cardiac disease from the Medical University of South Carolina. Her clinical background includes hospital nursing both at large teaching centers and small rural community hospitals. Prior to joining HCMS, she worked at Options & Choices, Inc. (OCI) providing individual health consultation and management services. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Asheville-Buncombe Technical College teaching in the RN program and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Haywood Regional Hospital in her community.

Sarah Lloyd, MSN, RN -- Contact Center Manager

Ms. Lloyd is the Contact Center Manager for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree with a focus on Nursing Informatics from Walden University. Her clinical background includes emergency room, intensive care, urgent care, GI ambulatory care, chart reviews, and adult physical rehabilitation. She has leadership experience in the ambulatory and physical rehabilitation settings.

Julie Vannett, MSN, RN, MBA -- Clinical Prevention Manager

Julie Vannett, MSN, RN, MBA is a Clinical Manager for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration, as well as her MBA with focus in Organizational Development from the University of Texas at Tyler. Her clinical background includes hospital nursing in acute care and behavioral health. Prior to joining HCMS, she worked at Anthem, Inc. providing utilization management, case management and crisis management services for Medicaid members. She has been Board Certified in Psychiatric Mental-Health Nursing.

Julie Vitko, MBA, BSN, RN -- Clinical Prevention Manager

Ms. Vitko is the Clinical Manager for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing and MBA from Mount Aloysius College. Ms. Vitko has 26 years of experience in the hospital setting with her last 10 years spent in leadership roles including Unit Director for Labor, Delivery and level 2 Nursery, Risk and Patient Safety, and Regional Director of Case Management for both UPMC Altoona and UPMC Bedford. Her clinical background includes hospital nursing in a 375-bed teaching/level 2 trauma hospital. Her areas of specialty include LDRP, Surgical-Trauma ICU, and Case Management. Additionally, she has experience in home health, rehab and transitional care, and served as interim patient safety officer. Ms. Vitko has had the opportunity to serve on multiple committees intended to improve the care, treatment and services for patients, families and community at large. She is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and has served as a peer support on the CARE team for UPMC employees experiencing stressful situations. She is a member of the American Case Management Association (ACMA) and has served on the Advisory Board for Family Hospice and Palliative Care and Board of Directors for the Geriatric Interest Network of Blair County. She has additionally served as adjunct faculty at Mount Aloysius College.

Theresa Faivre, MSN, RN -- Quality Assurance Preceptor and Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Faivre is the Service Quality Manager and a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Lewis University in Illinois. Her background includes the care of women and children, ambulatory surgery nursing, and instructor at the University of Phoenix.

Linda Archer, MSN, RN, CNS -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Archer is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Health. Her nursing experience includes public health with a focus on women’s health and maternal-child health, inpatient hospital physical rehabilitation and acute and chronic care of adolescents in a school setting. She was a quality assurance specialist for a health maintenance organization where she coordinated disease management services for members and managed preventive health services.

Kathryn Bauke, MSN,RN NE-BC -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Baucke is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University and a Master of Science degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Regis University. Ms. Baucke has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including acute care, outpatient care and the health insurance industry. Her clinical background includes Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Cardiac, Trauma, Dialysis, Transplant, Quality and Case Management.

Rochelle Cortes, MSN,RN, CCM -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Cortes is a Clinical Prevention specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her RN from the Baptist Hospital System in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science degree in Leadership and Management from Grand Canyon University in Pheonix, Arizona. Her nursing experience includes Trauma Case Management, Neurosurgery, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Gastro Intestinal, Workers’ Compensation Case Management, Home Health, Emergency Room, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Med/Surg, and Patient/Nursing Education. She has also managed several clinics and was a Nurse Educator for a large Teaching Facility/Level I Trauma Center Medical/Surgical Unit and loves watching the light bulb go on when her students/patients learn. She was instrumental in assisting Nurse Residents (new graduate RNs) with their research projects and orienting new staff to the facility.

Mary Coyle, MSN, RN, NP, OHN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Coyle is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for Knova Solutions. She earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with an emphasis in adult health, pulmonary rehab, mental health and chronic illness. She is certified in Occupational Health and Case Management. Throughout her career she has managed several on-site clinics within companies and feels passionate about helping individuals achieve their health goals so they can maintain a productive, healthy and active lifestyle.
   

Juanita Estime, RN, MSN-Ed -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Estime is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University in Arizona. She has worked as a pediatric nurse in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, and Medicaid. She has worked a variety of roles in her nursing career, such as case management, utilization management, leadership and as a clinical nurse auditor for the fifth largest pediatric hospital in the United States. During her time as a school nurse she was instrumental in developing first response teams for each of her schools, which included CPR training.

Shannon Gallagher, MSN, RN, CMSRN, SCRN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Gallagher is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Administration and Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania. She has worked as a medical surgical nurse in a variety of settings including Cardiology, Pre and Post-Surgical care, Observation, Oncology and Neurology. In addition, she has experience in Nursing Education and Nursing Leadership, serving as a unit-based Educator for multiple Medical Surgical Units as well as a Unit Director for an Observation/Cardiology unit. She is board certified in Medical/Surgical nursing and has a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse certification. She has a passion for helping people empower themselves to make the best and informed healthcare decisions to fit their needs.

Judi Jackson, MSN-Ed, MS, RN-C -- Staff Development Coordinator and Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Jackson is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSoultions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University in Arizona and her Master of Science degree in Administration with a focus in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. She also has achieved a certification as an obstetrical nurse. Ms. Jackson has worked in several healthcare settings to include inpatient and ambulatory care, community-based health clinics, public health, and military facilities. Ms. Jackson’s clinical nursing experience involves maternal-child nursing, women’s health, family practice, pediatrics, chronic disease management, case management, patient navigation, and coordination of care. In addition to her nursing experience, Ms. Jackson is actively involved in her community volunteering and serving on various boards, advisory councils, and committee groups. She is passionate about changing people’s lives by impacting their quality of life and healthcare needs.

Linda Jackson, MSN, RN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Jackson is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina with a focus in Community Health Nursing. Much of her professional career has been in educating health professionals about the importance of performance improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety. Her clinical background includes acute care management in the specialties of medical-surgical, behavioral health, and maternal-child nursing. Ms. Jackson has held faculty and administrative positions at the Schools of Nursing at New Mexico State University-Alamogordo and Central Carolina Technical College in Sumter, South Carolina. Most recently, she was a Clinical Outcomes Specialist at a community hospital in South Carolina and an Examiner for South Carolina Quality Forum, SC Governor’s Quality Award.

Alana Kolderman, MSN, RN-BC -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Kolderman is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Leadership and Management in Nursing from Regis University. Alana’s background is in Medical/Surgical Nursing and is board certified in Medical/Surgical Nursing, being an expert in her field. She started out on a Stepdown ICU and most recently worked in a hospital as a clinical nurse in the float pool, being a resource for all inpatient units. Alana is Affiliate Faculty at Regis University as a clinical instructor for nursing students which has been a wonderful experience, as she is very vibrant and loves sharing her passion with the nursing future.

Nicole Livermore, MSN, RN, CNS -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Livermore is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is licensed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health in Nebraska. Her background includes many years of acute care experience specializing in Oncology, Med-Surg and Critical Care. Her most recent roles in the hospital consist of nurse manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and nurse educator on a Medical Oncology unit. She is an Oncology Certified Nurse and remains active in the Southeast Nebraska Oncology Nursing Society. Her passion is helping people to find comfort in their health decisions.

Kari Michalski, MSN, RN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Michalski is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing as a Forensic Clinical Nurse Specialist from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. Her nursing career has centered around women’s health, specifically in the Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Post Partum, and Obstetrical Surgery units, and at a community-based health clinic. Her Forensic experience includes death investigation, legal chart review, child welfare investigation, and critical incident stress management training.

Marilyn Novosel, MPH, RN, CDE -- Certified Diabetes Educator

Ms. Novosel is a Certified Diabetes Educator for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her clinical background includes work in hospital, outpatient, and community settings. In addition to direct patient care and discharge planning experience, Ms. Novosel is a Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Pump Trainer. Most recently, she has taught diabetes self-management classes, facilitated a diabetes support group, and given seminars on diabetes to civic organizations.

Danielle Parks, MSN, RN, CWOCN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Parks is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ms. Parks has clinical experience in the fields of: Medical/Surgical; Oncology and Wound/Ostomy/Continence care and has practiced in a variety of outpatient and acute care settings. Ms. Parks is a board-certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse and is a member of the WOCN Society.

Adrienne Patterson, MAed, BSN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Patterson is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University and served with honor in the United States Navy as a Naval Nurse Corps Officer. While serving, she acquired her Master of Education from Chapman University with a focus on curriculum and instruction. She also has achieved board certification as an emergency room nurse. Her patient care experience includes emergency room nursing, maternal child nursing, home health and peri anesthesia. She performed as a leader and manager in several care areas including Director of Emergency Services. She educated new nurses as an adjunct professor at George Washington University.

Emily Terry, MSN, RN, CNL -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Terry is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on nursing leadership from Sacred Heart University. She has achieved certification in Clinical Nurse Leadership by the CNC. Her clinical background includes working at a Level I Trauma center, medical-surgical care, postoperative care, ambulatory care, clinic, travel health, and vaccine specialization. She is a Daisy Award nominee and has worked as a preceptor for various specialties within the nursing field.

Laura White, MSN, RN-BC, CVRN -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. White is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is board-certified as a Cardiovascular Nurse and as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist. Her patient care experience has centered around cardiac care and peri-anesthesia care, specifically in the cardiac stepdown, cardiac catheterization lab care areas, and recovery room. Her nursing education experience has been focused on nursing staff development, specifically managing new graduate nurses and as the coordinator of basic and advanced life support education. Most recently, she has worked at the charge nurse in the post-surgical area. She is passionate about helping people make well-informed decisions about their healthcare concerns.

Tyra Swope, MSN, RN, CCM -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Ms. Swope is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing in Leadership in Healthcare Systems with a dual focus in Health Education and Health Management from Regis University. She also holds a certification in Case Management. Ms. Swope has worked in various health care settings that include acute care, home health, and the health insurance industry. She has clinical experience in Telemetry, Med/Surg, Cardiac, Pediatrics, Maternal-Child, Quality, Case Management, and her most recent position in Acute Care Readmission Prevention. Ms. Swope has additionally served as a Clinical Technology Educator and has held various leadership and preceptor positions throughout her nursing career. Ms. Swope is passionate about providing others with the knowledge, resources, and support that empowers individuals to live healthy and productive lifestyles.

Alison Smith, MSN, RN, CNE -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Mrs. Smith is a Clinical Prevention Specialist for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis and her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on nursing education from Walden University. She has achieved certification as a Certified Nurse Educator by the National League for Nursing. Her clinical background includes working at a Level I Trauma center in both a burn unit and a peri-anesthesia care unit, as well as working as a travel nurse in various Intensive Care Unit settings. Alison also works as an Academic Coach for at risk graduate level nursing students. Her passion is empowering individuals through education.

Leslie Mckee, APRN, FNP-C -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Leslie earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Arizona University. She has also achieved certification as an Aesthetics Injector by the National Laser Institute. Her clinical background includes working in a Medical Surgical unit at Banner Gateway/MD Anderson Cancer Center since 2014. Leslie also practices aesthetics as a Nurse Practitioner and enjoys helping people look and feel younger by injecting Botox and dermal fillers in the medspa setting. Leslie is a resident of the greater Phoenix area. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, photography, and travel. Her passion is continuous learning and encouraging and enabling individuals to live their best life through a greater understanding of the human body.

Clinical Navigator Team

Katy Kupec -- Clinical Navigator

Ms. Kupec is a Clinical Navigator for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Social Work degree from Colorado State University. As a medical Social Worker and Case Manager, she has over 15 years of experience serving the community, assessing needs and providing guidance to clients of all ages, with a special emphasis in the prenatal at-risk population.

Kaitlyn Sajczuk -- Clinical Navigator

Ms. Sajczuk is a Clinical Navigator for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Health Promotion from Colorado State University. She has her Health Coach Certification and Personal Training Certification through the American Council on Exercise. In addition to personal training and health coaching, her background includes health education, biometric screenings, public health, and behavioral health. She has worked with very diverse populations and is passionate about providing people with the education they need to reach their wellness goals.

Pharmacist Consultant Team


Chris Abram, PharmD -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Dr. Abram provides pharmacy information, education, and support for KnovaSolutions members. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He has been a pharmacist for skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities as well as in a retail setting.

Tobi Garrett, PharmD, CGP -- Clinical Prevention Specialist

Dr. Garrett enjoys providing pharmacy consulting and support for KnovaSolutions members. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Drake University and later became a Certified Geriatric Pharmacist. Dr. Garrett currently serves as an international Board member for the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy. Dr. Garrett also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Denver where she enjoyed the challenges of competing Olympic level gymnastics. For hobbies, Dr. Garrett enjoys all sorts of crafts, music, and keeping active with friends and family.

Medical Information Team


Elaine Hammond, MSLS -- Medical Librarian

Ms. Hammond is a Medical Librarian for KnovaSolutions. She earned her Master of Science degree in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms Hammond provides research support services and usable health information to KnovaSolutions clinicians in support of enrolled members and their families as they become better health care consumers. She is a member of the Special Library and Medical Library Associations.
